Alberta's 8% rate now covers the first $61,200 of taxable income (up from $60,000 in 2025), indexed 2%. This remains the lowest provincial top rate in Canada.
Higher Personal Amount
Alberta's basic personal amount rose to $22,769 (from $22,323), meaning more income is tax-free at the provincial level. Still the highest of any province.
CPP2 Second Ceiling
CPP2 now applies at 4% on earnings between $74,600 and $85,000. The max pensionable earnings rose to $74,600 with a 2% indexation.
